Post Installation for NW04s Usage Type PI - Template Installer for AS & PI?

Hi everyone,

I am completely confussed.

I have just completed installing NW04s SR2, Usage type PI, which automatically installs Usage type AS (ABAP & JAVA).

Therefore do I need to run the Template Installer for AS & PI, or only for PI ???

Logically I must run Template Installer for both AS & PI, but it doesn't say so explicity in any SAP documentation!!!

Hi,

you have to run only one configuration template in CTC called "PIPostInstallProcess".

The SLD* configuration templates of usage type Application Server are not necessary because the PI template is doing SLD configuration as needed as long as your are using a local SLD for your PI system.

The NWA* configuration template are only necessary if you want to use NWA as a central admin tool which also administrates remote systems.
