HI,

Adobe Interactive Forms from a Basis / infrastructure perspective

We want to Install the Separate ADS server on windows. I got following Questions

1) Where does it typically install?

2) How many systems are in a typical landscape (DEV/QA/PRD?)

3) Does it have change mgt / transport?

4) finding sizing data / metrics ( i got document from the service market place but would like to know any one implemented with Specific sizing?)

Thanks,

Chander

Hi pap,

we got solution manager and we would like to have ADS on that Box,regarding landscape we want to use one system for all them as our solmom box is prod.

and regarding sizing it is used only for the rendering i am thinking it would be fine.

what is your opinion?

Thanks,

Chander

Hello,

yes this can work.

If all systems connected to your solman system are of the same release. /* as I wrote above */

Please also ensure you solman runs on a supported plattform for ADS.

our SOLMON runs on windows 2003 64 bit prod and 32 bit development.

Thanks for your input.

Hello Chander,

If it is x86-64 bit you need to have at least SP11 Patch 1 Version of ADS. /* or SP12 */

Unfortunatelly you can not use Itanium /* IA64 */ based plattforms for ADS.

Hello Chander,

1.

ADS can be installed on any of your J2EE engines, what is installed on a supported plattform for ADS. Please check the list of supported plattforms at:

http://service.sap.com/PAM

You can use an ADS from several systems. The important is they must have the same release. So NW04s ADS can be only connected to NW04s system.

The ADS installs into the j2ee engine folder of your system.

2.

SAP recommends as always to have three systems. DEV/QAS/PRD.

3.

The ADS itself is like any other component on the J2EE engine. It should be updated with the support package stacks.

4.

About Sizing we can only provide you the material you already have.

Best regards,
