New Installation for Iseries

Hi All,

We are about to do a fresh new install of MySAP ERP.

I have two questions. SAP has sent us DVD's for both Netweaver 2004s SR2 and ERP 2005 SR2. Do we have to install both? If so, which one do we install first.

as always: Victor is correct

but one more cent:

If your knowledge is that far away, that you don't know which of the millions different SAP products you need, you should NOT start installing "somthing" but wait for useful consulting ...

Hello Greg,

The installation of ERP 2005 will include the installation of NetWeaver 2004s automatically.

You may have to use the DVDs from both packages, but only one SAPinst run, with proper usage type selected, is sufficient.

Hello Greg,

There should be a usage type called ERP (I don't have one started right now). Ideally the consultant should help you choose, meanwhile you can get familiar with the different components explained in the master guide.
