SMD - Solution Manager Diagnostics - Data Collect Timeout

Hi,

I have setup SMD Agent on my EP 7.0 SP12 Windows box...

The agent is seen in the SMD Agent overview...

When I want to setup the Agent thourhg Diagnostics Setup >> Managed Systems >> Setup Wizard I get a timeout during the "Inital Data Collect" task and the setup stops with error.

I have ran the upgrader, sent the data from TX DSWP to the SMD (even if unnecessary with SP12), restarted the agent.....

The SolMan is on SP12 with all latest packages deployed...

Anyone had this problem and knows a solution?

Hi,

You can adapt the global task time-out for SMD remote application.

Go to Visual Administrator

Serveur -> Services -> tc_smdserver~service

Change the property smd.asio.remote.time.out.long.ms to value you need.

Hey i too got the same error and it solved by the following SAP Notes:

Note 974730 - SMD Agent connection issue.

Note 999138 - TimeoutException on calling methods of SMD Agent
