XI to XI interface

Hi, I have currently this interface:

Source R/3 --> Source XI --> Destination R/3

And I am using a RFC adapter to execute synchronously a RFC call in the destination R/3 system and get data. It's works fine.

But know I have do this scenario:

Source R/3 --> Source XI --> Destination XI --> Destination R/3

It is possible, synchronously. I need that the XI to XI conection was done with XI adapter. Could somebody give me the steps? In SLD, Builder Desing and Builder Configuration?

The Destination XI can be set up as a Business System of type Exchange Infrastructure in the SLD. In your source XI system, the destination XI system is configured as the receiver (using the XI adapter, give the URL of the entry pipeline of the destination XI system).

In the Destination XI system, configure the outbound interface to come from the Source XI system (which is also a business system in the SLD). the receiver in this case is your Destination R/3.

In a nutshell, you have to do the standard config twice.

1. In Source XI system ::: Source R/3 -> Source XI -> Destination XI

2. In Destination XI system ::: Source XI -> Destination XI -> Destination R/3
