Back up strategy (whole online backup vs. full online backup)

Hello!

I would to set up the back up strategy for my SAP ECC 6.0 with Oracle automatically from DB13.

A very intersting scenario is:

a) weekly Online Back up

b) daily Incremental Backup

c) daily (two times) redo logs

My question:

Can I use for this scenario in a) whole online backup or should I use full online back up.

I do not plan to use RMAN or other tools.

How can I scedule my approach?

you cannot do incremental backup without RMAN, so option B will not work.

in DB13, you can easily schedule a weekly online backup and 2 redolog backups.

So it is imposible to implement the back up strategy with incremental back up without applying RMAN, right?

Then I should set up my strategy as follows:

- daily whole database backup

- daily two times redo log backup

How difficult it is to set up RMAN in order to use incremental back up?

I am not an expert in RMAN. I actually hate it! but that's just me...
