Partner Type in SAP

Hi,

Partner Types in Cross Applications we use type LS in ALE ( SAP to SAP) and types LI, KU, B are used by the EDI . I refered some XI (How to..guides) documents where LS type is refered for a Non SAP system.... Could any one please help me to understand this ?

Ref: the above document. It helps you understand how to handle Idoc scenarios in case they have diff. partner types like LS, LI, KU etc.

if u go to transaction we20 u will see

Partner type | for whom

LI vendor

It's not like that ...we use Type <b>LS</b> for Non Sap system as well. LS is just an alias to represent the System.
