CCMS Problems

All,

I recently changed the password of the user CSMREG in 000 of the central monitoring system

Right now no alerts are coming. I have noticed that the User is getting Locked every 1 min after i unlock it.

I have also updated the RFCs ( with the new password of CSMREG) of the Cental Monitoring System which are used to connect to the other systems.

Still the user is getting locked.

Plz help.

Cheers!

Bidwan

Although the password is not visible, it is entered when you register the agents.

Maybe, you can stop the agents for a while, unlock the user and check if CSMREG still remains unlocked; so you can confirm the problem is due to the agents.

Hello.

You can stop sapccm4x agent, deregister the agent, change the password in csmconf file, and register the agent again.

If you invoke sapccm4x from cmd, you get info about the options to perform these steps.

Hope this is helpful,

Regards.

Does this mean we have to deregister/re-register the agents in all the systems including the Central Monitoring System?

So, will be a bit tedious job and does that mean whenever we change the CSMREG password, we need to do everything afresh?

And I am not sure if the CSMREG password is stored in the CSMCONF file...coz i can't see it there...

I can see only the DDIC password of the CMS and the SAPSErvice<SID> password under which the service will run...

Someone Please confirm

Probably you have to update the password also for the agents (sapccm4x and sapccmsr), keep in mind that CSMREG password was read by agents when they were registered in CSMCONF file.
