PI7.0 NW04s - Runtime Workbench RWB problem: question marks ner

Former Member

Dear SAP Community Network,

we installed our system PI 7.0 NW04s SR2 on MSCS (OS Windows Server

2003 Enterprise x64 Edition SP2, 2 nodes). We configured it but when

we try to access the RWB (Runtime Workbench), in the Component

Monitoring we cannot see all the components correctly registered. It

seems the RWB is not able to resolve correctly the Domain (we can see

question marks near the Domain name).

Please keep in mind that after the installation we changed the password for the following users (PIDIRUSER, PIREPUSER, PIISUSER, PIRWBUSER, PIAPPLUSER, PIAFSUSER) according to the note OSS 936093 since we are using a central SLD.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Kind regards

What do you see in SLD under technical systems (type exchange infrastructure).

You should see - Adapter, RWB, IR, ID - if these are all registered to same domain, thats a good start for central SLD config.

then check your exchange profile to ensure SLD being referenced is the right host name.

perhaps show the exact error you are seeing in RWB, where are these question marks? in the display page or the URL?

was this working before?

Hi Naomi,

we use the transaction SXMB_IFR for going into the Runtime Workbench (RWB).

When we are into the RWB, we try to display the components with status ALL; after this, I can see a page which reports

the Domain (domain.???.hostname/sid) and under the Domain there are the components (some of these are OK and have a green light, the others are not-OK).

Kind regards for your cooperation.

Ensure connectivity is setup properly.

1) Check the SLD (you can get here from the same page you got to the RWB from). When you log in, select Technical Systems.... then select type "Exchange Infrastructure" - what systems do you see? and what is displayed under the domain name.

2) Ensure the SLD parameters in the exchange profile are accurate

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c6/6f1741b393f26fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm provides a list of ALL exchange profile parameters - look under section SLD

Looks like your host-setup is incomplete. The typical display you should see in the RWB after you select all components is:

Domain

--Integration Server

-

Integration Engine

-

Business Process Engine

--Integration Engine

--Non-central Adapter Engine

etc, a status is provided for each of these components and their subs.

sincerely,

Hi Naomi,

we solved the problem regarding the Domain with question marks and the sub-components not-OK: we defined manually the Integration Server in the SLD > Administration> Content Maintenance according to the Note OSS 764176.

Now we have another problem: going into RWB --> Adapter monitoring we can see only the JPR adapter.

Do you have any suggestion for solving this problem with the adapter monitoring? How can we add/see all the others adapters?

Kind Regards

Hi Naomi,

we solved the problem related to the adapters missing in the "Adapter monitoring" correcting the inconsistencies between SDM and table BC_COMPVERS:

1. Stop the SDM server.

2. Set the SDM jstartup mode to standalone:

sdm jstartup "mode=standalone"

3. Set the SDM systemcomponentstate mode to activate:

sdm systemcomponentstate "mode=activate"

This will also sync the SDM repository and the BC_COMPVERS table.

4. Set the SDM jstartup mode back to integrated:

sdm jstartup "mode=integrated".

5. Start the SDM server

6. Check the system information by entering http://<host>:5<xx>00.

After following the instructions above mentioned, going into Adapter monitoring (without restarting PI), we can see all the adapters.

Kind regards
