Sales org Vs Division

Hi,

I have a requirement wherein few divisions are to moved to create a new sales organization. I just wanted to know what is the advantages/disadvantages of doing it. I mean you can still get all the reports on division level. Then what will be specific advantages of creating a new sales organization.

you can create another sales area by using another sales org- but what do you mean moving

Can u reframe your query, as I find it little bit confusing. <b>Move divisions to create sales organization?</b>what has division got to do to with sales organization?

Hi Ayub,

I am aware that we can create different sales areas. There are few divisons which for reporting purposes - customer want to create under a new sales org.

I was also wondering, if technically are there any advantages of doing so?

If you add new sales organization, you know number of sales area will increase. that will adversely impact database as sales area have there own customer master, own sales documents etc. You have to extend the customers to the new sales area.
