Hello,
i tried to install the NW2004 Java Trial Version on my system. After confirming the
licence agreement i get the following error:
INFO 2007-08-07 12:01:34
Looking for SAP system instances installed on this host...
ERROR 2007-08-07 12:01:34
FSL-02107 Path component contains reserved character ('"'): "C:
ERROR 2007-08-07 12:01:34
FSL-02106 Path contains reserved character ('"'): "C:\usr\sap\J2L\SYS\profile\START_JC04_mucn0572"
The instance shown in the error is a NW2004 SP19 developer workplace installation. Isn't it possible to install the Java Trial if there is already another NW2004 system installed?
The other threads about path problems do not fit to my problem. So don't post only links to this threads.
Greetings, Johann
Hi,
Just follow these steps.
You have to remove the reserved character present in the image path of the instance..
This can be done by going to <b>regedit</b>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-->SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services-->
SAP<SID>_<CI>
Under that you' ll get a option of changing the image path... just remove that reserved character <b>"</b>
Also remove the reserved character from SAP<SID>_<SCS>
This will solve your problem...
Do reward points if useful....
regards,
Nayana

I don't think that this ist the problem. SID "J2E" as used by the installer is not yet available on my system.

Please try after changing the hostname and system id
