Hi,
offcourse u can apply support packs thru OS level and the procedure is.
Uncar the support pack at OS level using sapcar -xvf sapkb____
after extracting the files two files with extension .att and .pat will be xtracted
copy and paste those files in -
> usr\sap\trans\eps\in
after u have pasted those files in eps\in
Use TP to import the uncared support pack add the change request to TP and import it
cmd> TP import sid changeRequest(sapkb___)
u can also import the request by logging into the Sap server in the following manner
loginto ur sap server HIT
STMS
|
check the import queue if the request is in that queue just import it
!! if the request is not there do the following--
in STMS screen
go to Utilities --->other requests -->add
select the request and add it to the queue
after the request has been added
go to Overview(Lorry Icon) in STMS and select ur server(dev, prd, qas) and check its import queue
select ur request in the import queue and click on import ,
import will be started and after it has been completed u just need to confirm it.
Support Packages---->Confirm
check out the steps and if u have any problem in it a reply is welcomed.
and if support pack implementation is successfull do remember to reward points for it
Bye

Hi Bidwan,
if you want to know more about the Transport System,
i recommend you this book.
SAP Change and Transport Management
ISBN 978-1-59229-059-8
<a href="http://www.sap-press.de/katalog/buecher/titel/gp/titelID-1093?GalileoSession=34158833A3Ikh4.lB-U">http://www.sap-press.de/katalog/buecher/titel/gp/titelID-1093?GalileoSession=34158833A3Ikh4.lB-U</a>
Here you can learn the whole theory of the Transport System, and
there are many examples, also the use of the tp.exe.

Hi Bidwan,
For every support patch there is a cofile and datafile created in the respective directory. So i hope it would be possible to apply these patches if you try it out through the tp command. I haven't tried it out personally. But thinking logically it might be well possible.

Abhishek

Hi,
try to use the options delivered by the tp.
execute "tp.exe help" almost all the phases that the SPAM executes it's using the tp.exe
all the phases listed <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a7/a7a932845c11d2b421006094b9ea64/frameset.htm">here</a>
