Hi Experts, This is Bobby.. I have completed my graduation in B.Com general. Before that I have done my DCCP (Diploma in Commercial and Computer Practice). Now I am pursuing MCA in Flexible learning education, because of Family commitments. I wanted to join for SAP Basis. What would be the basic qualification for learning SAP. From where I have to learn? SIEMENS would be very costly. Please help me and give me your kind guidance for learning and getting good job as a BASIS CONSULTANT OR ADMINISTRATOR. Awaiting for your suggestions.

Hi,

I suggest you, please learn basic concepts system administration, network concepts and full concept of Oracle Database administration, then you can start SAP Basis.

Thanks for your quick response. I have some knowledge in Networking. You told me that I need to learn ORCALE DBA. If you dont mind could be please tell me how its helpful for SAP BASIS. After completing Oracle DBA and SAP can i get any opportunity atleast as a fresh. Please suggest me sir. Your reply will related to my life.

Hi,

SAP related data will store in database, so you should learn Database Administration.

3 tier architecture.

Front end (SAP GUI ) -- Allocation server (SAP Application server) --- Database server

You should learn MS SQL server or DB2 or Oracle DBA

Hello,

Yes, it will be very good advantage if u have knowledge in database.

To become good basis consultant , one MUST have grep on 3 areas.

1) OS Knowledge 2) DB Knowledge 3) SAP knowledge.

I came to know, it is y'r turning point, so, make y'r foundation strong on the above areas.Don't be hurry. Spend good Lab hours to practice also.

1) OS - Learn Unix, Windows

2) DB - Learn Ms-Sql, Oracle.

3) SAP - Basis .

And also, i strogly suggest you please gothrough the my previous forum threads,

there you can find very good stuff....

Yes, you can get opening as a fresher, if really impress in the Interview..
