xApps and Composite Applications in XI

Former Member

Hey,

both (xApps and CA) uses Enterprise Services to create an application that interacts with different systems. Where is the difference?

If I create a BPM in XI that interacts with systems (like databases, ERP..), do we call this a Composite Application?

Please send me some information about how to keep apart these technologies.

thanks

chris

Thanks for this link, but focus of this blog is GP!

My question about differences between CA and xApps isn't solved by this blog.

CAF & GP are tools to build and run xApps. CAF is the tool, xApps or the cross applications are the application that are built and run with CAF

U may find the relation here

Hey,

also in this presentation are a lot of marketing statements, but no precise information. But a new question appear: Are xApps and xPD the same?

Now I read, that xApps are nothing else but standardised composite applications, which are delivered by SAP and partners? Is this true?

Still searching for the difference between these two...

Hey,

finally I found a definition about my question:

/message/1586400#1586400 [original link is broken]

Like I mentioned, xApps are really nothing else but composite applications created

by SAP or a SAP partner.
