I want to ask you few things ,& please be my teacher as you answer them?

I am a novice to SAP & learning ABAP & in fact new to programming. --Now my questions are?

q1]]What is the role of ABAP in the SAP system?

q2]] could you help me by saying the use of TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL specifications----& how to use them for ones learning of the :-

Business scenario

& (ii) technical learning

Ans1. Actually SAP is ERP package for customers to run their business more efficiently.

all customers will not use the standard programs given by the SAP. there many be other process which customer follows which SAP doesn't support.

so in this kind of scenario Abaper comes into play.

Abapers basically shall create custom programs , modify standard programs.

add extra functionality to existing standard programs, uploading data to SAP and downloading the same.creating custom application programs for SAP. etc...

You shall be responsible to provide development,support,bug fixing Etc.

Ans2. Technical specification is for ABAPer and is having tables -fields and codings, Functional Specification is by Fucntional consultant which describes the business scenario.
