Unable to start J2EE server after removing sapjsf

Hi,

Recently I changed the default username (sapjsf) to a different username (ddic) for the LDAP Server settings under Enterprise Portal>System Configuration>UME Configuration after I run the connection test and found that sapjsf requires a password and connection cannot proceed. Upon restart, I found that the J2EE server can no longer fire up.

Hi,

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f0/06093f7c392e5ae10000000a114084/content.htm

If you have changed the SAPJSF user at the abap side , you should also update the same in the Java UME Properties sheet.

Award points if helpful.

Thanks,

Hi Tanuj,

Correction to my previous message.

The user J2EE_ADMIN is <u><b>not</b></u> assigned to any portal role.

Hi Tanuj,

That would be the J2EE stack as I tried logging into the Portal using J2EE_ADMIN but the user/pass was rejected as the error mentions that portal role is assigned to this user.

Hi Mantosh,

Thanks, do you know what SAP Note I could look into to apply the solution that you have just recommended?

Hi Tanuj,

After I've gotten the J2EE server up, my default J2EE_ADMIN user/pass can't work. Have you come across a solution for that?

Hi,

Do one thing login using sap* user and create the SAPJSF user and assign it the communication role. It is SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION.

Then also reset the password for J2ee_admin user. Before that if it is locked or what. To have a sync in case you have the Java Stack also then you need to maintain the same information in your UME page as well. Also using Visual admin you use the security provider tab and there you maintain the user properly. See if it's not locked via Visual admin or via UME.

Proper sync is essential.

regards and reward with good points.

Hi,

So your java server is up and running. Did you try logging in the ABAP stack with J2EE_ADMIN or into the Java Stack.

Thanks,
