Price varies with the purity of the Byproduct

Hi All,

My client is in business of chemicals.

While processing certain chemicals along with the finished goods certain byproducts are also generated which they sell to customers.The price of the byproduct varies depending upon the purity, say if purity is less than 50% price is X and if purity is more than 50% price is Y So how do i map if i want to go with single material code.

Dear Deepak

you can use Variant Configuration for the same, one of the characteristics can be purity...so at the time entering material in sales order it will ask for purity and conditions will be maintained as per variant

hi

this can be solved by using varient configuration

Cretate the material with material type KMAT (Configurable materal) and will have two charactersctic with <50% pura and > 50% pure.

I feel better to maintain the price as minimum applicable to all customer at material masters and maintain the separate condition type for this particular material as manual condition type, which is entered manually at sales orders.

so that based on the purity, we can enter the price manually at sales orders
