Error in changing profiles

Hi all,

I am using ECC6.0...My problem is that when i changed any profiles in system.

Eg: If i changed a instance profile " abap/buffersize" from 400000 to 500000

and i tries to restart the system its no getting started because, i had notified at operating system level these two values are combining each other...

I.e. the value becomes 400000500000. so as the buffers are very large the server is not starting up..

so i have to manually change the value and restart the server..

is there any problem in my system or its compulsory that we have to change manually ...

Thanks In advance

it does look more as typing error.

In any case if you can reproduce the issue, please report it to support.

Hi,

Is there anyway you can relay in detail what was the value you checked and then changed and saved?

What instance profile? did you change it manually on the file or you made it through Rz10?
