Can anyone explain me what is differece between planned cost and budgeting.What is the flow of budget and what configuration i have to follow.Kindly guide me

Hi,

There are many threads pertaining to Costing & Budgeting in projects. You can review the threads & in case of any doubts shoot the query.

Regarding configuration for costing / Budgeting, based on your requirements, system will be configured. E.g. in in costing various type are there such as network costing / easy cost planning / manual cost planing etc. More details can be obtained in www.help.sap.com.

in planned cost you are specifying the materials,labours and checking the cost incurred(known),whereas in budgeting it is for specific project where you can budget .ie based on experience you allot some value for the work.for activiating the buget for order you have to create the buget profile and assign to the respective order.

i just explained the process i know experieced people can share your views.
