Auto repalcement of WBS element at CAT7.

Hi,

During time entry at CAT 2 i am entering the time against a particular WBS element and releasing and saving the entry

There is no cat 5 in my situation, after cat 2 it is directly CAT 7 i.e. transfer to CO while doing so if i get a error for exceeded budget, i want to re-route automatically

the time entries to another WBS defined in the same Project and complete the CO transaction.

Will this be possible by having a user exit for replacing the exceeded budget WBS with new WBS element.

Ofcourse we can do that with BDC programs, but..

Can i suggest u one thing.

When u r receiving an error message, can u not supplement some budget from another WBSE to the existing WBSE.

I think that would be a better idea to tackle this issue.

Please revert back with suggestions.

Hi Sunil,

My requirement is not to change the budget allotted,even if i exceed the budget there may be few additional postings to the WBS element in which case i want the recharge to happen to another WBS automatically i.e replace the exceeded WBS with new defined WBS in the same structure

you say it could be done with BDC can you please guide me on the same..
