Delivery date determination

hi friends.

How does the system calculate the delivery date and the material availability date ie. on what basis the date gets generated in the system.

delivery date is proosed from delivery scheduling + transportation scheduling times/date.

delivery sche: will cntains pick/pack time and loading time . these are defined in shipping point.t can be days/hous -minutes

in route: transportation planning time and transit time will be considered

Delivery date is always arrived by taking stock confirmation date and transportation lead time that u give in route determination into consideration.

Confirmation date is arrived at by TOR AND AVAILABILITY CHECK if it is thru internal procurement or thru vendor's confirmation date if it is external procurement. This is again derived from schedule lines.

hi,

The standard SAP system determine the delivery date for 7 days. if you want to change, u can change it in the header level sales document type (OR) thru VoV8 under request delivery date/pricing date.

under the same option, there is PO date- it propose delivery date, if you activate it the day which u want to delivery, will happen accordingly.

Hi,

Material avilability date is determined by the sysytem depending on the Avilability check. i.e. How much time to take to produce the material ( from material master recod ).

Delivery date is determined on the basis of backward scheduling.it contains the route detrmination. i.e the combination of pick time ,pack time,loading time, transit time.

Material availability date is determined on the avaibility of the stock. If stock is available the current date is proposed, if not lead time to produce the same is taken into consideration a date is proposed.

Delivery date takes the material availability date adds the lead times namely the transit time , which is transportation lead time and lead time to arrange for the transport arrangement.

hi,

The Delivery date will be proposed based on the Factory calender assigned at the Sales organisation / Shipping point. It will also consider the goods receiving calender assigned to the Customer master. You can also set the Delivery date setting at the Order level in VOV8.
