Host name

Hi there,

i wanna change the host name in technical system is it possible because i cant c any option for host name change .do we have to create new technical system and assign to that business syste..

if we do like this is this change reflects at ID leve( as i am using 2.0)

Delete the existing system and recreate it.

Clear SLD Cache in ID

yes..doesnt take much to delte an existing tech system n create a new one..

i am making clear myself i have to delete old one and create new one ..and do SLD cache refresh...then it will update my host name in all imnterfaces where i am using that technical systems...

and one more thing.... what is central application instance number...in technical system...

Hi,

That is Instance Number of the R/3 System

It May be 00 or 01 Any thing

U Can Find out this By Opening the SAP GUI Logon pad

Check the Properities of the Instance. there u will findout the instance number( System Number )

i don't think ther's a way to change the host name for a technical system but i think u can add another application server on the same technical system
