Dear SRM Experts,
Can some one please explain for which operations we do a transport and for which operations we do the the changes manually in the target system, when we intend to move changes from the source to the target system ( for example from Dev to QA).
If you can provide me some documentation that also would be nice.
Points will be rewarded.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Bob
Hi Bob,
on the service marketplace there is a document called SetUp,Transport,andCopySRMServer5.5.pdf
It has the information in it you are looking for. SRM is specific with transports.
There are several settings which need or a better be done in the respective client.
Cheers,
Claudia

Hi
SAP recommends to move each change using CTS system. Take help of BASIS Team to move all the required changes in all the required systems.
Please go through the following pointers as well ->
Note 447651 - Transporting EBP Systems and organisation modell
Note 675101 - Delta transport of hierarchies and categories
Do let me know.

There are few configurations which have to be done in the required client only even though the client is set to "No Changes allowed". Mainly these configurations depend on the business scenarios mapped.
You can have a look at OSS note 523213 - Set maintenance view in production system to changeable.

Sandeep
