Two transporting methods:

transport using the file system.

transport using the Change Management Service

you can check both methods in the SAP help of the Netweaver

under the subject -

Design and Configuration Time Integration Builder-> Software Logistics for XI Object ->Shipment Content->Development Cycle in the IntegrationVersion Management->Transporting XI Objects.
