Credit Control per Sales Division

Hi SAP Guru's,

How can I set up a Credit Control System based on Sales Divisions?

For example: A company has two divisions: X and Y. Customer John purchases from both these divisions. Now how can I set up the Credit management policies per division such that if the outstanding arrears of John > USD $ 50,000 in Division X then his sales order is blocked but he is still allowed to purchase from Division Y. John’s Division Y Credit limit is USD $ 100,000

Thanks,

Ketan

Hi Ketan,

Try the following.

1) Create two different sales areas since you would be having two different divisions, also create two different credit control areas.Say your first Sales Area is 1000 10 10 and the second Sales Area is 1000 10 20, and your credit control area is K088 and KO89.

2) Assign the Sales Area 1000 10 10, to K088 and Assign 1000 10 20, TO K089, under the assignment Assign Sales Area to Credit Control Area

3) Next create a customer No 2000 for the sales area 1000 10 10 by using T Code XD01(Customer Master Creation).Now in the billing tab page of the sales area data,see that the field credit control area is activated. Assign K088 in the credit control area.

4) Create the same customer 2000 for different sales area which would be 1000 10 20, the system will allow you since the sales area differs. Now assign the credit control area K089 in the billing tab page for this sales area

5) Go to FD32 and your input would be the customer and the credit control area hence create this by giving Customer 2000 and K088 and assign the credit limit for K088 credit control area.

6) Again go to FD32 input the same customer only this time give the credit control area as K089 and assign the credit limit for K089.

Check if this works

hi

First you need to have 2 credit control areas(1000 &2000) for 2 divisions(X &Y) so define 2 credit control areas.

then goto OBZK and assign the credit control areas to company code

1000=1000 CCA

1000=2000 CCA

Now goto OVFL and assign the CCA to the respective sales areas.

1000/10/X=1000 CCA

1000/10/Y=2000 cca

And in the XD02 of CMD of both sales areas we have to specify the credit control area in the sales area data screen shipping tab page

credit control can be set using user exit(only header data),sales area and company code .system will read in the above priority.

if cust exceeds in perticular div, then we can block him for particulr sales area also

Hi Ketan,

You can set the Credit Control Area at two level.

One is Company Code & second is Sales area.

So if your division belongs to different sales area means, Go to IMG-Enterprise Structure-Assignment-Sales & Distribution - Assign Sales Area to Credit control area.

Hi,

It is not possible to have credit control setup based on Sales Divisions,unless those divisions are in different sales areas which are assigned to different company codes.

In short,credit control can be setup at Company code level and it is not possible to setup at sales org or division ordistriubtion channel level,although it is possible to setup at the sales area level associated to the company code
