After CTM planning run, in product view for a product, more than one SNP planned orders are observed. Practically, in a day, I can prorcess only one SNP planned order in a day, Which are the factors responsible for generating more than one SNP planned orders & how to resolve this problem.
Regards,
Chetan
Hi Chetan,
Have you checked in the product master in tab Lot Size if you have set the option Fixed Lot Size?
Check the help:
Fixed Lot Size
Quantity in lot size unit of measure that is to be ordered or produced
for material shortages.
Procedure
If the material shortage is less than the fixed lot size, exactly the
fixed lot size is ordered or produced. If the material shortage is
greater than the fixed lot size, a multiple of the fixed lot size is
procured. In this case, the system creates several orders.
Hope this helps!

I would also play with the Min/Max lotsize numbers. Probably keep a higher min lotsize in product location/t lane. you get more than one SNP planned order due to different pegging relationship between demand and supply element.

Hi Chetan,
How many SNP ppms for this product do you have? If this ppms have different resources then you may have this behavoir.
If this were the case, you can make a hierarchy with the resources and plan with it.
Hope this helps
