Item is not relevant for billing

Hi,

When I am creating the billing document,I am getting the following error log.

"Item is not relevant for billing."

But I have maintain "A" for billing relevance in item category.

Above problem is coming when I am using my new delivery type in sales document type.

What can be reason?

dear prabudh,

since you are using new delivery type i request you to pls check this

go to delivery to billing copy control ( VTFL)

and then select the header billing document type F2 and delivery document type LF

and select the item catagory TAN and go to details and check the copying requirement is 4 - Deliv-related item is there or not , if it is not then keep 4.

Hi,

Please check if you have marked field "pricing" in VOV7 for that item category you have assigned to. Hope you have assigned the same delivery document to Sales doc type in VOV8

Yes I have maintain pricing 'X' in VOV7 and also assigned delivery type in VOV8.

I suggest you for a thorough check of your assignments again like copy controls etc., let us know if problem recurrs.

Hi,

In transaction VTFL, did you assign the Delivery type and Billing type with your item category assigned. This setting is mandatory for the Deliver Related Billing. For order related billing you will have to use the transaction VTFA and assign Order and Billing type with the item category assigned.
