Dear Rajesh,

Actually there is no big difference, the only thing mentioned is that yo

u have to use BOTH, as in either 1 to monitor the systems or respective

system. In fact most of the configuration can be done via SOLMAN, howeve

r the screens are mainly still be referred and connected to R/3 CCMS.

So in short, you will still need to make use of RZ20 and RZ21 to do most

of the typical CCMS configurations.

But with Solution Manager you have other value add's like the EWA for your satellite systems, SL Reports for Solutions, Business Process Monitoring which is not possible with CCMS.

Hope that clarifies your doubt.

Regards

Amit

Hi,

Solution Monitoring as a whole if you take.

CEN: Where you have defined your CCMS alerts in Satellites System and get the open tasks alert in solution manager, which you can address to. So basically you do your CCMS configuration in your satellite system.

System Monitoring: Again you define your alerts in satellite system and get the alerts in SOLMAN. But you have interface in SOLMAN to define user alerts in satellite system only.

So the baseline is the CCMS alerts that you define always happen in your satellite system.

Hope this solves your queries.
