SAP instances (urgent)

Hi to all:

I'm already using R/3 4.6c(DB_PRD, INQ, DEV, SRM) in window flatform and SQL databse. for now my server has their own sql installed. my question is, is it required that the sql is installed in every server?

I also want to know is it possible for to link all my database into one server even i already installed each sql?

waht will happen if i did that?
