All,
Im trying to use a FTP receiver adapter using the transport protocol - "NFS" and the target directory is "/".
What is the physical location of this directory in the server? And im also seeing an error "Permission Denied" error.
Which user should be given permission on the local server? (since XI is trying to write this file)
Thanks.
Hi,
Go to the XIBOX directory D:/ usr/sap/
try to create any folder over there, if it doesn't allows. Then u don't have access , get access for any of the folder or subfolder under root /usr/ . If you have access then give
/usr/sap/thezone/
Best regards,
raj.

though your question is anwered already...to clarify more on this-->
"/" on a unix box when you use NFS would mean the root directory and impossible that you have any write permissions there.
"/" on a windows box when you use NFS would mean the drive root where you are currently exectuing your prog.
"/" on either unix or windows when you use FTP is the directory which is designated as the FTP root in the FTP server settings...FTP protocol works on relative path concept and you can never make use of absolute paths like D:/usr/sap there...

Hi,
While creating FTP user in Target system you have to specify the root directory for your FTP user. Also need to give proper authorisation to access this folder.
If basis consultant has created this FTP user, ask him for root directory assign to this FTP user. (Root directory is defined at the time of creating FTP User)
Hope this will solve your issue.
