2004s Installation Problem - sapinst gui does not start

Hi,

I am installing PI 7.0 2004s on Solaris SPARC 10.

When i run ./sapinst, it hangs at one step

"<i>guiengine: no GUI connected; waiting for a connection on host <hostname>, port 21200 to continue with the installation</i>"

The sapinstgui doesn't start. The JAVA_HOME, SAPINST_JRE_HOME, DISPLAY env variables are set perfectly.

I also tried to run changing the port but it didnt proceed ahead.

Hello Chintan,

Are you doing remote installation? In that case you need to use the following command

./startInstGui.sh -host <host_name>

I am using xmanager. So only running ./sapinst should do right?

Open xbrowser.

Open file manager and go to spainst path.

Double-click on sapinst. This worked, but couldn't open sapinst gui through terminal.
