How does the Synchronous interface and asynchronous interface in IR are created?

Hi,
We create synchronous and asynchronous interfaces in interface mapping.
Mode gives wether it is SYN/ASYN
For asynchronous we give only output message.
for synchronous we have output/input message.

Inbound
OutBound
Synchronus
Asynchronus
Abstract
we create as per requirement of our Scenario

When u are creating Message Interface u have the option of choosing Synch/Asynch, this way u can create Synch/Asynch Interface. Is this is what u are looking for?
