XI Installation Error

Hi,

When installing XI in HP UX we face the following Error. How to overcome it?

Attempting to install NW 2004s on Itanium 64 HPUX. Getting

no GUI connected; waiting for a connection on host error upon executing

sapinst. Using Reflection X as client. Tried with option

SAPINST_START_GUI=false and running startinstgui -host chakotay from

remote W2k3 server. Getting java.net.ConnectException: Connection

refused: connect.</i>

Possible reasons could be,

You havent set the display variable in HP UX before you start the installation.

The previous installation or GUI connection is not completely stopped.

And also this error message should continue with a port number, Check with ur unix admin if this port is available.

if nothing works, there may be a bug, and review the note 722890.

issue solved
