Can I able to provide functionality for a column in a table so that user can sort up and down?I tried in column properties. unfortunately its not working. Is there any solution for this?

Unfortunately when user clicks on sort button on Table column,no sorting is done and also records are getting added. ie if there are 4 records in table initially when user clicks on action button we can see 8 records.
Can any one suggest me how to get table elements sorted?
