Actual Cost Flow into Project

Hi,

I need your help / suggestion w.r.t. actual cost posting in project from production / purchase orders. Projects include engineering, procurement & manufacturing of equirpments. ROH items are procured from external vendors & there will be manufacturing of HALB and FERT items inhouse, consuming ROH items. I would like to request to suggset what should be actual cost flow into project in this scenario as the actual cost is n't getting posted properly & some case actual cost is coming in negative also. In the total actual cost of project variance cost from production orders is updating apart from production order cost.

Hi Jimmy,

Check whether

1. the WBS is ticked for account assignment in the project.

The actual cost flow process for

HALB & FERT - Inhouse manufacturing --is, the material is assigned to an activity & in MRP run the PR gets created and inturn the Prod Order is raised on the plant at this time the cost will be in committment tab next when the manufacturing is completed and GR & GI for the same is executed the cost will be flowing to the actual cost.

ROH Mat. - External vendor - for material getting procured out vendor when PO is raised the committment cost tab gets updated and when the GR is done the cost gets updated in actual cost tab.
