SAP AII 4.0 Installation as stand-alone?

Hi

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to Install SAP AII 4.0 as stand-alone [i.e. without having SAP R/3 or SAP Netweaver environment]?

Actually I want to integrate RFID devices with SAP AII 4.0. Please suggest.

actually, it can be installed standalone. there are no requirements for R/3- i have an instance of Aii running in my office. from what i remember, you need to install netweaver AS (abap and java) and then install Auto-ID add-on. of course, that is an oversimplification of a complex install, but that is essentially it.

AII can not be installed as stand alone as it is an add-on to SAP ERP. If you are looking to integrate to AII, you can also try using RAC as a service offered by SAP ICC. If you sunscribe to this service with ECC 6.0 as an option, you can get remote access to AII. You also get IDES data along with the systems.
