PP/DS PPM not being generated

Hi

My PP/DS PPM is not being generated when I try CIfing BOM and routing. I have checked the master data in R/3. All of it seems to be fine except for the validity period of the rouitng and prodcution version are not in sync. Fro example, the prodction version is valid till 31.12.9999 and routing is only valid til 31.12.2007. Is this the reason die to which the PP/DS is not being generated?

TIA

Sandeep

Hello Sandeep -

Read this excerpt from help.sap.com

If no data was sent to SAP APO despite a PPM being selected for the generation of the integration model, you should check the following:

1) There must be a valid plan in the production version for Detailed Scheduling. The bill of material (BOM) must be valid until the key date (in case the validity period of the production version changes).

2) At least one operation must be assigned to a work center because only assigned operations are transferred to SAP APO.

3) In the work center, formulas for scheduling and capacity must be maintained for operations, otherwise operations are not transferred to SAP APO.

4) The standard values must be maintained in the operation detail. If times have not been maintained for operations/phases, they are not transferred to SAP APO.

5) You must ensure that the scheduling indicator is set in the control key because only those operations relevant to scheduling are transferred.

6) The leading material must be contained in an active integration model, otherwise the PPM is not transferred to SAP APO.

7) The components of the BOM must be contained in an active integration model, otherwise the components are not transferred to SAP APO.

Hope this helps.

Suresh Garg

Hi, take a look at these notes.

448085 PPM transfer: Tips and tricks

563806 FAQ: APO CIF

Try creating a temporary model that only picks up the production version that's not being transferred using CFM1. When you drill into the model using CFM2 hopefully you should see a line. If not, check the CFM1 selection criteria.

Good luck

Hi Sandeep,

No.

Check the IM, if it contains your PV. If not generate a new IM with CFM1. Then transfer the PV with RIMODINI (Report) and check if the PP/DS PPM is created in APO.

Check also the following master data in APO:

1. Material

2. Location

3. Resource
