Ecl error

Dear All,

when i try to redline the doc xyz.dwf in ECL viewer in Cfolder,

following error pops up.

however thru' ecl viewer i'm able to open JT files n other very easily.

the Error:

<b>Window title:</b> LoaderFactory

The version of the file is unsupported

<b>

Window title:</b> VisWeb

failed to open document

<b>other window:(w/o heading)</b>

failed to open docu c:\..\...\temp\xyz.dwf

any clues on this

Hi Niranjan,

could you please tell me which version of the ECL viewer you are using currently and if this happens in a Windows or JAVA area?

Further please check if you have maintained all the necessary data in transaction DC30 for application type "DWF". Please maintain also the mime type for it, which you will find in SAP note 933934.

Hi Niranjan,

The integrated ECL viewer supports the following 3D file formats:

Direct Model (*.JT)

Stereolithography (*.STL)

Virtual Reality Modeling Language (*.WRL)

The following functions can be executed in 3D file format:

Zoom - Dynamic/Window

Fit to window

Pan

Seek to point

Color settings for view

Rotation Dynamic/along 3 axis

Thanks for reply,

DC30 is set fine.

Im working with Version=5100.40301

this is error related to ECL i guess as the window title is VisWeb.

Also

dwg is only 2d right?

in INVentor 11 im saving 3d files as dwf.

with external dwf viewer im able to see the same file.

Any clues

Hi,

Try to open the same file in SAP GUI. If it opens fine there, then the problem is on cFolder. If it fails to open in SAP GUI also, then it means ECL does not support that format of file.
