CAN YOU CONFIGURE TWO DIFF FREE GOODS ITEMS FOR ONE SINGLE
ITEM?
EXAMPLE- ON PURCHASING OF ITEM A U WANTS TO GIVE ITEM B & C
FREE . IS IT POSSIBLE? HOW ?
this is a question asked in HCL last week?
Explain how we can configure and i think this is a possible scenario
STANDERD SAP WELL NOT SUPPORT
Free goods is currently only supported on a 1:1 basis. This means that an order item can only be the source of one free goods item. This means that agreements involving relationships such as 'Buy material 1 and get material 2 and material 3 free of charge' or 'Order material 1 and material 2 together and get material 3 free of charge' are not supported.

Hi,
Please note this
"Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of charge or If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of charge.
Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix."

hi,
yes, it is possible, we can customise free goods for two items in std. sap. How?
while u r creating the free goods determination thru VBN1, u get a option like inclusive and exclusive.
ex- exclusive option you have opted.
then u give one main item, and free goods as in 2 numbers. and save.
so at the time u create the sales the order, the free goods will automatically determine. u can see the itemcategory for main item as TAN and free goods as TANN.
reward point if it is solved.
regards

Hi,
In standard it is not possible to give 2 different items as free goods with the main item.
But this can be done using sales order BOM. Create a BOM with a header material (which is one finished good) and attach to it the other free goods material. Now when you create the condition records for free goods in VBN1, here you select the Header material as free good.
In VA01 when you create the sales order, then automatically the free goods record will be fetched when you enter the main item. Because of the BOM you will see the other material also. So you are able to give 2 different items as free goods for one main item.
But the disadvantage of this is that when you try to sell the main header material it will lead to BOM explosion and you will have to sell 2 different materials. So the header material will not be sold individually.
Reward points if solution helps.

Hi,
In normal process its not possible. but you can do that by creating a new recquirement by going to vofm and with the help of a abaper you can. and place this new recquirement in the condition record of the that freegoods determination. and it will solve.
hope this helps
and dont forget to reward

In standard SAP it is not possible to give 2 different free goods B & C with the main item A. But you can work around this using the concept of BOM, where you can configure BOM for one material and give all the materials which you want to give for free under that material. Then give the main material as a free item in the free goods, then you will get all the materials under that material also for free of charge.
