During background process using MCG3, job logs message appears “no data exist for chosen selection” but in foreground process it was successfully completed.
Check the variant for the program that you run in Background. There must be some problem with the variant.Moreover are you printing the result of the program? What does this program do?
From this scenario I don’t see any problem with the variant because when I’m using sap all (full authorization) the background process was successfully completed. We don’t print the result of the program, what we need is to view the output by using selection version.
