backup failed due to 'archive_copy_dir' not found

Hi!

I have problem by Backup from DB13 on Windows

I have mapped a remote medium to M and try to execute "redo log backup".

I have set backup_dev_type = disk

The folowing error message appers:

BR0282E Directory 'M:\SSM' not found

BR0182E Checking parameter/option 'archive_copy_dir' failed

How can I proceed?

Axel,

I already told you in this that the network driveletters are only visible within the same user session.

The SAP Kernel does use a different session than your interactive sessions at the console or on Windows Terminal Server Clients.

Therefore you have to use the UNC notation, access must be possible <b>without</b> specifying username/password.

you can use report RSBDCOS0 in transaction se38 to test the access to the remote computer (dir
remotecomputer\share\SSM).
