Is there any facility to have a Master Contract & child contracts.
I mean, we have some umbrella contract, and under that, there will be many sub contracts. How to achieve this .
We are creating contracts with VA41.
Pl. advice / help
thanks
amit
Yes.You can do it.
First create Master Contract in VA41 by selecting approriate Document type(MS).
Then create other contracts like Value Contract and Quantity Contracts again in VA41 which has different Document type. When you create sub contract, assign the master contract No to it.
Please give the feedback.

hi ,
please follow the below procedure
Step1: go to transaction code VOV8 of sales document type GK and maintain the following settings
SD document category=0
Screen sequence group=GK(master contract)
transaction group=4
document pricing procedure=V
contract profile=01
group referencing procedure=ZSDK
contract data allowed=X
check update low level contract
Save it
Step2: Go to VA41
Specify the document type=GK
specify the sold-to-party
specify the description
specify the start date =01
specify the end date=10
save it and note down the master contract number
Step3: again go to VA41
and raise the child contract for example quantity contract
specify the description
specify the start date and end date(like master contract validity periods)
and assign Master contract number that was created in the previous step
save it and exit
go to VA41 of master contract and check qty contract has been assigned or not
pls reward points if the answer is helpful

i have created the master contract. While creating the child contract,
after selecting the item line, from the top, Edit -> Assign contract -> Item
Header is greyed out. I get a screen "Assign Sales Activity" , in this i give the master contract number, & when i assign , it gives "Copying from sales document type GK to ZCFB is not supported
Message no. V2004". Is the correct procedure i am following ..
Pl. let me know ....what is to be done ??
thanks
amit
