What is SFTP, FTI channels

Could you pls give some insights on what are SFTP and FTI channels and how to use them, do they use File adapter?

Hi,

XI dont support SFTP. Also I think there is no plan of supporting within one or two months. But it is in the pipeline of SAP.

But XI supports FTPS.

Hi,

FTPS is FTP over SSL. There is difference between Secure FT(SFTP) and FTPS. Please check this link for the differences between these two:

Are their any different settings for FTPS compared to normal FTP?

Yes we do have. In FTPS we have to install the certificates in visual administrator. Those certificates should be signed by a 3rd party like verisign etc. Then you will use those certificates in your receiver communication channel. Also check this document for the settings:

hey

i take my wrds back,XI does not supports SFTP,it does support FTPS.

to use SFTP,you need to create your own adapter or java proxy for SFTP
