If you want to logon to SAP Netweaver Administrator page

go to

http://<server>:<port>/nwa

there is no URL to login as an admin,its just the user id and pwd which have admin authorizations

Hi,

VA is not a web based tool.

You can run go.bat to access VA on server in folder :

C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\admin

In your installtion drive(C:\ or d:\ etc..) search the folder \usr\sap\<b>clustername</b>\JC00\j2ee\admin find a go.bat file there and start it.

here cluster name depends on your installation...

It will open a UI ..select default configuration or any one if u configured spifically for your j2ee engine from UI.

give your password. and say connect.

Hi Ahmed !

At first instance I have asked the URL for login page of Administrator. But you have all replied telling there won't be any URL for that and suggested to go through go.bat. But finally someway somehow I got URL for the same that I am lookinf for and posted the same here.

So now I am asking in what way this login page URL for administrator is different from Visual Administrator login page ??

I think you are talking about "User Administrator" and we are talking about "Visual Administrator"...

the URL you suggested is not for VA,its for user and is moslty used if u need to change the admin password etc.

its different from visual admin

This URL is not the same as VA login page? The URL which you have given is for getting the user information.

But the url http://<hostname>:port/index.html. From this click on SAP NetWeaver Administrator. This is same as VA. In the latest version SAP have come with this UI. Check this video link on this kumar:

Basically I want to work on visual admin but I didn't have userid and pwd for that. So I want to create the same. So for this I am referring the below thread.

1.Start the Config Tool C:\usr\sap\<SID>\<engine-instance>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat

Ex: D:\usr\sap\F02\JC00\j2ee\configtool --> configtool.bat

2. "Switch to configuration mode" for that Click on "Pencil" icon;

3. Click on "Pencil" icon means "Swith to Configuration Edit mode" then say "YES"

4. cluster_data --> server --> cfg --> services -->

click on "Propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service

select properties:

ume.superadmin.activated = True

ume.superadmin.password = <enter password >

then say "OK"

Click on "Pencial ICON.

5. Save & restart Java Engine.

Login with "Administrator"

1. http://<host>:<Port>/useradmin/index.jsp

2. Enter userid / Password as "Administrator / <password>

3. it will ask change password just change it.

Please follow steps one by one. it should resolve your issue.

Probably here he is setting the visual admin userid and pwd through configtool.bat and logging through the URL: http://<host>:<Port>/useradmin/index.jsp(Basically this URL is for "useradministrator". so probably here he is doing wrong. He should rather enter as a "visual administrator" rather to "user administrator".

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
