Product Substitution-based on availability

can any of u tell how exactly is this done?

Hi Aryan,

After configuring the Material Determination, you cand do substitution-based on avilability.

For that while creting Condition record in VB11, you have a check box called MRP indicator,This you can see after entering material to be determined and double click on that material you will enter into another screen, there in the line item last coulumn you can see MRP indicator

In the SD Master Data Screen select, Products -> Material Determination -> Create.

You reach the screen Create Material Determination: Initial.

Enter A001 in the Determination type field.

The standard version of the SAP R/3 system includes only material determination type A001. Depending on the requirements of your organization, your system administrator may create additional types.

Press ENTER .

Enter the following data:

– Validity period for the master record

– Material entered (the material you want the system to substitute with another)

– Substitute material.

– Optionally, a reason for the substitution (the reason may appear in system messages during sales order processing)

Save your master data.
