3.Now click Holiday calendar and go in change mode.
Click create and give holdiay cal id and description.
Click assign public holiday and add your holidays one by one and save
Now holiday cal is created.
4.Now come out and choose fact calendar and go in change mode
Click create and give Factory calendar id and description, and validity period.
Give the holiday calendar ID.
If you want to give special rule like any of the specific date/ day is the holiday or work day (which is different from holiday calendar you can define)
and save.
5.You have to assign factory calendar to PLANT
Go to SPRO>ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE->DEFINITION> LOG GENERAL>DEFINE COPY,DELETE AND CHECK PLANT>DEFINE PLANT
Choose your plant and go to details-
You have to define factory calendar there
Hope this will help you

Hi,
Generally PP consultant will define the factory calendar. you can use tcode for SCAL.
Go to SPRO>GENERAL SETTINGS>MAINTAIN CALENDAR.
The factory calendar will define directly in the CLIENT.it will not be captured and transported thro' ttansport management. it'll contain the entire working days and holidays for specific plants.
it'll be attached to the capacity header and referred to scheduling the operations.
there are two holidays calendar such as
1) Public holidays
2) Specific holiday calendar
steps involved in calendar maintenance are
1) create public holidays
2) create holiday claendar and assign the public holidays in the holiday calendar
3) create factory calendar and assign holiday calendar in the factory calendar.
Then holiday calendar will be assigned to the factory calendar.
This is step by step procedure.
if you are satisfied for this ans, pls mention the points.

Hi Sandip,
Factory calendar can be defined by different modules like PP and SD based on their requirements. Because both can have different factory calendar requirements.
Steps for defining factory calendar are as below,
(1) Go to transaction OP03.
(2) If you have holiday calendar then first define the holiday calendar, by creating it first and assigning the holidays from the already available holiday list.
(3) After the holiday calendar has being defined create the factory calendar.
(4) In the factory calendar assigning the working days (check boxes for days of week).
(5) After the above step assign the holiday calendar already created in the first step to the factory calendar.
(6) After factory calendar has being created and saved the factory calendar can be assigned to the plant or sales organisation based on the requirement of who has created the same.
This is how one creates a factory calendar.
Reward points if found suitable.
Thanks & Regards.

Hi,
It is defined by T code SCAL. Create own factory calendar assign it to plant.
If work centers are working different that plant assign it to work center.
Request will not generating while saving it. So after saving come back go to transport, create request manually then release the same.
Usually it is responsibility of PP consultant to create & assign as per requirement.

This the responsibility of PP module. But anybody can take this.
Transaction is SCAL. But before this you need to define the holiday calendar and assign this to factory calendar from same transaction SCAL.
You can define the holidays form same transaction.
If any questions please let me know.

Hi Sandip,
If a public holiday comes on sunday which is a holiday then if
(1) if the public holiday is a fixed holiday then you will have declare next day as a holiday in your holiday calendar for that year only. This can be done by creating a new holiday and assigning to holiday calendar for that year only.
(2) If public holiday is a floating holiday than one can always change the date of the holiday to the next day.
I hope this resolves your issue.
Thanks & Regards.
