Are you looking for using Seasonality as part of Statistical Forecasting methods in DP. If so then look into the following two documents under [original link is broken] [original link is broken] in BPX >> SCM >> Demand Planning.
1. Historical Data Analysis and Statistical Model Selection in APO Demand Planning
2. Understanding the Mathematics Behind the Models in APO Demand Planning
This will give an overview of the mathematical model for Seasonality calculation in APO DP.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Somnath

Hi,
I have not implemented Seasonal Planning but had run a scenario in SCM 5.0 I have taken help of sap.help in configuring the scenario and also taken the example mentioned by them. The significance of seasonal planning lies in the combination of regions having different seasonal pattern. In sap.help they have given example of winter coats and how the sales vary in two different regions as their winter season months are different. One can make use of seasonal planning in such cases. Seasonal planning helps in adding the total sales of winter coats of different regions (even though their winter seasons comprises of different months).
Similary you can make use of seasonal planning of different products, whose sales are season dependent and you want to know the aggregate sales of different regions.

Hi Ragu,
Go to Help.sap.com>SAP best pratices and there you will see Supply chain management in your left hand menu. If you don't see SCM there, click on other links, and you will get the SCM.
