Creation of new distribution Channel

Can anyone give me a step by step process of creatinf a new distribution channel & assignment of the same.

Go to SPROEnterprise structureDefinition---SD

Here you can define Distribution channel.

Then you can go to SPRO-ESAssignment--SD

Here you can do all the assignments for DC.

In these paths, the definition and assignment are self explanatory.

Dear Sumit

In addition to what others have said, i would suggest you following

you can define in OVXI , and when you copy it will do all the assignments, if you want your assignments

then go to Copy, delete, check distribution channel and

there give check for your Distribution channel, it will give you a tree, there you can check one-by-one the assignments and whatever required can click and do the maintainenace

for e.g. click on T683V and click Table Maintanace to do assignment for Pricing procedure.

So all the inconsistencies also can checked there itself.

It is recommended to copy (copy as ) from existing Distribution Channel.

2. SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Assign distribution channel to sales organization

3. SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Set up sales area

4. SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant

The above are settings for Distribution Channel at Enterprise Structure Level
