version : solman 4.0 (sp11)

When I click 'Confirm files for download' button in Maintenace Optimizer,

I always get the same error message in a new pop-up window.

-Error during call of SAP back end system (see long text)

-Message Number: SOLMAN_SAP_BACKEND005

Diagnosis

Error calling SAP backend system:

Illegal destination type.veritest via RFC destination

-Procedure

Check the configuration of your connection to SAP

in the Implementation Guide (IMG).

Use note 320991 to analyze RFC error codes.

Note 982045 contains information about

repairing the RFC destination SAP-OSS

I've also checked

- DSWP -> edit -> 'global settings' -> suser and url. ( correct )

- SM59 ->

'SAP-OSS','SAP-OSS-LIST-001

'SAPNET_RFC',

'SAPNET_RTCC',

-> utilities -> test -> authorization test ( OK )

how can I fix this error?

welcome any comments~

Hi ,

I had some time ago a similar problem and found out that for MOPZ an initial access to SAP Service Marketplace was done using SAP-OSS (with the user and password maintained in DSWP->edit-global settings). So if you can assure that this destination works, I suggest to check the source SAPOSS in addition. May be this is neccessary, too.

Best regards, Alexander

Thanks for kind answers!

By chance I found funny relationship between

TABLE <-> T-CODE

-

RFCDES DSWP

1. when you click 'Confirm files in download basket' in DSWP->MOPZ

2. Solman reads the first line in RECDES ( as you see in SE16 )

-> I deleted first few lines in that table step by step several times.

( delete one line in RFCDES and then click 'Confirm...' button in DSWP )

3. I tried to copy original 'SAP-OSS' record to '0-SAP-OSS' .

and as I expected the system read the lastly created rfc destination

consequently, and so finally made me download those SPs .

( In my thought,It doesn't make sense!

How can a regid system reads RFC destinations only by it's displaying order?

Maybe I have missed or mixed-up some critical IMG steps or patch files?

I really like to know where I've gone wrong.

It's very fragile solution manager I've got now.

I wish you all the best luck!!

Hi nam,

first check , if you created your rfc connection to OSS properly or not, or try to re creat it, and check the connection.

check you sloution manager landscape components and system groups are configure correctly or not .
