Netweaver: Automate pre configuration for application

Hi

There are certain steps that a user has to do manually like adding some application specific JVM parameters using the config tool, adding the JAAS login module in the UME security store, creating group and users etc. before our application can be deployed and run successfully

The question is can these steps be automated by using some Netweaver API or configuration scripts like what other application servers e.g weblogic or websphere has to offer?

Any leads will be much appreciated

Hi,

First Check if the default configurations suits you. If not you will be forced to configure it manualy.

No, the default configuration does not suit our application.

While configuring SMD, I have noticed that most of the things I want to automate is actually automated in SMD, which adds the JVM parameters and UME configurations for the managed node, so there has to be some API by which they are able to do this.

Still on a hunt....

There is API for UME monipulation you can find about it in the help.sap.com.
